Grant Martin: Founder / Director
Grant Martin was first introduced to the metal trade industry in 1992 at Stoddarts Pty Ltd, Queensland’s largest stainless steel fabrication company, where he completed his four-year apprenticeship in sheet metal fabrication. After receiving his trade qualification, he worked as a subcontracting fabricator on various projects around Brisbane, while continuing to develop his skills in both metal fabrication and business over the following years.
In 2012, Grant relocated to Sydney, where he identified an opportunity to offer both residential and commercial stainless steel kitchen solutions. Since then, Martin Stainless Steel has become a trusted name for commercial and residential kitchen fabrication projects across Sydney and regional New South Wales.
Based in Blacktown, the business has built a reputation for practical problem-solving, reliable workmanship, and fabrication designed to handle real-world demands and industry standards.
What started as a small Western Sydney workshop has grown into a well-established business supporting builders, cabinet makers, hospitality venues, shopfitters, contractors, architects, and homeowners throughout Sydney, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains, the Central Coast, Wollongong, and Goulburn.
Grant remains heavily involved in day-to-day workshop operations and continues to oversee site measurements and installations. From assisting with design and fabrication drawings through to final fit and finish, he works closely with the team to ensure every project leaves the workshop built properly, fitted correctly, and finished to a high standard.
Inside the Blacktown workshop, state-of-the-art machinery is used, including large-scale laser cutting and CNC folding equipment. Stainless steel sheets are cut, folded, welded, polished, and assembled into a wide range of products, from commercial and residential kitchen benches and splashbacks through to custom exhaust canopies, ventilation ductwork, preparation areas, shelving systems, counters, and various architectural fabrication items.
The business uses high-quality, food-grade stainless steel for custom specifications across hospitality, commercial, residential, and industrial environments, where durability and precision are essential.
